Seaside Heights New Years Celebration

Seaside Heights has a unique New Years celebration planned. The Seaside Heights Tourism website has details. The Lakewood BlueClaws are sponsoring First Night Ocean County. You can become part of the festivities by purchasing bracelets at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall. $5.00 per bracelet enables a day of entertainment. On Thursday, December 31st, starting at 11 AM, an illusion show and performances by the Give and Take Jugglers can be seen. Participating boardwalk arcades will make available music, comedy, face painters, balloonists, and caricature portrait drawings. The celebration ends with a fireworks show at 5:30 PM. Th fireworks are on the beach in-between the two amusement piers.

Safe Trick or Treat Night

There will be a Safe Trick or Treat Night at Toms River High School North on Old Freehold Rd. starting 7 PM. A short concert precedes safe trick-or-treating through the hallways of High School North. The admission fee is a can of food. The food will be donated to local area families. This event is sponsored by the Orchestra at Toms River High School North. For more information call 732-505-5705.

Celebrations at the Beaches and Blue Claws in the Playoffs

This blog will cover news and events which occur within the Jersey Shore area. The Labor Day weekend brings the official summer season to a close with some notable events at various beaches. A concert followed by fireworks takes place tonight at the main beach in Manasquan.

Another concert on the opposite side of the Manasquan Inlet is taking place at Pt. Pleasant Beach. There also will be fireworks there.

If you prefer baseball note that the Lakewood Blue Claws are in the South Atlantic League playoffs. An upcoming playoff game is scheduled for Friday, September 11th at 7:05 PM at FirstEnergy Park.
