New Laws Affecting Government Workers
Christie Signs Three Pension & Benefit Reform Measures is an NJ Today article reporting on some new laws which impact the benefits of government employees. Highlights include requirements that public employees pay a minimum of 1.5 percent of their salaries toward health benefits when the current contract expires. In addition newly hired employees will have to contribute at least 1.5 percent of their base pension toward retirement health benefits.
